Meet the artist

Hello, I’m Sana

I’m an architect-turned-artist living in Melbourne’s west. I paint Islamic calligraphy, landscapes and abstract pieces, and I design DIY calligraphy kits so you can create something beautiful and meaningful at home.

My journey

Every place I have called home has shaped the way I see colour, line and space.

Kuwait
Where it began
I was born in Kuwait, surrounded from a young age by Arabic script on buildings, books and everyday signs.
Pakistan
Fine Arts & Architecture
I grew up in the culturally rich environment of Pakistan and studied Fine Arts and Architecture at art college, where I fell in love with structure, proportion and design.
Kuwait
Architect & designer
My professional life took me back to Kuwait, where I worked as an architect and designer and sharpened my eye for detail.
Australia
A new chapter
After moving to Australia and taking a break from art, I rediscovered painting in 2021. It started as a quiet hobby and quickly became a burst of creativity.
Today
Creative Flair by Sana
Today I paint calligraphy and original artwork, design DIY Islamic art kits, and share colour tools and painting guides to help others enjoy creating as much as I do.

What inspires my art

The meeting point of architecture and Arabic calligraphy is where my work begins. Architecture taught me balance, geometry and how light falls on a surface. Calligraphy brings meaning, movement and a deep sense of peace. I love bringing the two together in pieces that feel calm, modern and full of barakah.
